About the role

The Phlebotomist Specimen Processor supports the St. Martin Hospital Lab by performing phlebotomy, processing and accessioning specimens, and assisting with specific test procedures. This PRN position works on‑site to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling for patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures and collect patient specimens.
  • Process, receive, accession, and distribute specimens throughout the laboratory.
  • Perform and record results for designated test procedures.
  • Resolve specimen‑related problems and adapt interactions to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy course completion preferred.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Current or trainee state phlebotomy license preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques.
  • Computer data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard use.
