Pharmacy Technician 3 – Full Time

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician 3 supports the UHealth Deerfield Beach pharmacy by preparing medications, managing inventory, and performing advanced compounding under a pharmacist’s guidance. This full‑time position is essential to safe and efficient medication dispensing.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, input, and verify prescription and patient information while maintaining accurate records.
• Prepare unit‑dose and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals, generate labels, and ensure proper price‑checking.
• Implement inventory control procedures, order supplies, and anticipate medication dispensing needs.
• Perform hazardous and advanced compounding, including chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pump medications, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
• Serve as Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, mentor new technicians, and precept pharmacy students.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Hazardous and advanced compounding (chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, TPN).
• Prescription processing and label preparation.
• Pharmacy inventory control and ordering within regulatory guidelines.
