Surgery Intake & Care Coordinator

About the role

The Surgery Intake & Care Coordinator provides world‑class support to members seeking surgical care, guiding them through the entire surgery journey from initial intake to post‑operative follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, educating members about the Surgery Care program, benefits, eligibility, and next steps.
• Verify benefits, collect and organize medical records, and coordinate scheduling, authorizations, and logistics with providers, facilities, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Salesforce and other systems, and partner with registered nurses and clinical professionals to resolve barriers.
• Provide proactive follow‑up throughout pre‑operative preparation, surgery scheduling, and post‑operative recovery.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, patient‑service, or a healthcare call‑center environment.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Comfortable handling sensitive personal protected information and escalating clinical issues to licensed professionals.
