Certified Nursing Assistant 2 – Full-Time

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to work in the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Comprehensive Treatment Unit in Deerfield Beach. This full‑time position provides direct patient care on a 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide feeding assistance, ambulation, turning, positioning, and hydration between meals.
• Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical prep, ice/heat packs, therapeutic baths, and restraints.
• Collect specimens, perform urine testing, and handle post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights, maintain a safe environment, and transport patients and equipment.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse.
• Assist with minor physical therapy, attach EKG leads, and manage intravenous nutrition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Minimum three years of relevant CNA experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
