About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to join the UHealth Sylvester Deerfield pharmacy team. This onsite position supports patient care by preparing and dispensing medications in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Compound, label, and dispense prescription drugs according to legal and institutional standards.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and suitability.
• Handle incoming physician calls, transfer prescriptions, and log data into pharmacy databases.
• Perform drug utilization reviews and monitor prescription trends for patient compliance.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventory controls, and regulatory registries for controlled substances.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current, active pharmacist licensure in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of one year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedural guidelines.
