Per Diem Hospice CNA

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for per‑diem hospice visits across Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering home health aide, skilled nursing, and palliative care to help clients remain safely at home.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
• Support range‑of‑motion exercises, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Perform oral feeding assistance and basic vital sign checks (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Help with ambulation and medication assistance as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
• Active, good‑standing registration on the PA Aide Registry.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination and complete a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and meet all state requirements.

Required skills

• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Pennsylvania.
