People Team Business Partner (East Coast)

About the role

Sentral is seeking a People Team Business Partner to support its East Coast communities. This remote, full‑time role partners with Operations and department leaders to deliver HR guidance across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Operations, General Managers and department leaders on employee relations, staffing, performance and HR matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations, document findings and follow‑up on complaints, misconduct and policy violations.
• Advise managers on policies, employment laws, accommodations, leaves of absence and HR best practices.
• Coach leadership on performance management, including counseling, reviews, corrective actions and development plans.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including offer letters and exit interviews.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Rippling and other HR systems, and collaborate with Payroll and Benefits on compensation changes.
• Monitor turnover, employee‑relations activity and People metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, recognition programs and community action plans.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist or Business Partner.
• Experience in hospitality, multifamily, property management or multi‑location environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations, manage employee relations and coach managers.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Rippling and Breezy preferred.
