Pediatric Physical Therapist

About the role

The Physical Therapist will develop, implement, and coordinate individualized therapy programs for children with movement deficits, supporting their functional performance at home, school, and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and select appropriate assessment tools.
• Design and deliver evidence‑based treatment plans to improve movement, functional performance, and participation.
• Monitor progress, adjust or discontinue interventions as needed.
• Educate families and caregivers on functional skills, health maintenance, and safety.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including evaluation reports, scheduling, and billing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educational personnel, community agencies, and parents to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and support staff where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulations, facility policies, and infection‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by APTA.
• Successful completion of required fieldwork and the National Physical Therapy Examination.
• Current Washington State PT license, Child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, compassion, integrity, and professional conduct.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, record‑keeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
