Pediatric Emergency RN – Night Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department on a variable night shift (7:00 pm‑7:30 am). This PRN position provides direct nursing care to pediatric patients and their families in a Magnet‑recognized, high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions; carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs for patients.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety and infection‑control policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon hire or within one year.
• Two years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants; internal applicants may have less than two years with probationary approval.
