About the role

The Pediatric Crisis Clinician II provides comprehensive mental health assessments and crisis intervention for children and adolescents at Fairview Hospital. Working within the Pediatric Behavioral Health team, the clinician supports families during acute mental health emergencies both in‑person and virtually.

Key responsibilities

Conduct thorough mental status, psychosocial, risk, and substance‑use assessments.
Deliver evidence‑based crisis intervention and therapeutic support.
Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
Document services accurately for professional charge capture and compliance.
Provide psycho‑education to families and assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and discharge planning.

Required profile

Master’s degree (MA, MS, MEd) in a healthcare field.
Licensure as LSW, LPC, LCDC‑III, RN or equivalent; preferred LISW, LISW‑S, LPCC, or LPCC‑S.
Minimum two years of post‑master’s clinical experience.
Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and rotating weekends.
