Payroll Specialist

About the role

BPM is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to support semi‑monthly, bi‑weekly and monthly payroll processing for employees in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The role involves ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with senior payroll staff and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review, validate and reconcile payroll information for semi‑monthly, bi‑weekly and monthly runs.
• Assist with payroll administration across the U.S., Canada and the UK, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Support payroll tax activities, including research, reconciliation, reporting and issue resolution.
• Prepare and analyse recurring and ad‑hoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders.
• Identify and investigate payroll discrepancies to ensure accurate processing.
• Process overtime, bonuses and other earnings according to company policies.
• Audit payroll data and resolve employee payroll concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits and other departments on payroll‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of corporate payroll experience supporting multi‑state U.S. employee populations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with U.S., Canadian and UK payroll processes and tax compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Proficiency with UKG Pro or similar payroll systems.
