Payroll Coordinator – Remote

About the role

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Coordinator to join its Finance team. This remote, full‑time position supports payroll operations across multiple schedules and locations, ensuring accurate and timely pay for employees.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager payroll questions, responding promptly and empathetically.
• Prepare and process payroll on deadline, consolidating data from various systems using Excel pivot tables.
• Track and process payroll adjustments, multi‑state requirements, and resolve errors before they become problems.
• Maintain employee records in Paylocity and administer the incentive program through Snappy.
• Generate regular payroll reports and support government reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of core payroll experience, including handling multiple pay schedules.
• Strong service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly accurate, detail‑oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Discreet handling of sensitive employee data.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Experience with Paylocity payroll system.
