Patient Safety Attendant – Full‑Time Day Shift

About the role

The Patient Safety Attendant works closely with a licensed nurse and Patient Care Technicians to ensure patient safety and support basic patient care on the St. Anne Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Assist with the plan of care as delegated by the staff nurse within the scope of practice.
• Provide constant observation of patients, notify nursing staff of changes, and intervene to prevent elopement.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Adapt behavior to respect patient privacy and preferences, and perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training (to be obtained before independent patient care).
• Good communication skills and ability to use independent judgment in patient monitoring.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
