Patient Care Nurse Assistant – Rapid Observation Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in the Rapid Observation Unit. This night‑shift position supports patients who may be discharged or admitted within 18 hours, providing a welcoming and healing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, patient transfers, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, applying monitoring devices and removing urinary catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to the RN and help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
• Proficiency in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at an eighth‑grade level.
• Military medical experience (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, Medical Service Technician) considered.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) credential (preferred).
