Patient Care Nurse Assistant – Oncology & Women’s Health

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital’s Parkview I Oncology and Women’s Health unit as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant. You will work alongside registered nurses to provide compassionate care for adult patients with medical and surgical diagnoses in a supportive, healing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, personal care, ADL assistance, patient transfers, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, applying monitoring devices and Foley catheter removal.
• Report any abnormal physical, mental or emotional findings to the RN promptly.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and support overall unit cleanliness.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
• Proficiency in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at an eighth‑grade level.
• Military medical experience (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician) considered.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) credential (preferred).
