Patient Care Nurse Assistant – Neuroscience Unit

About the role

Join the Neuroscience Medical Unit at Marymount Hospital, an acute‑care, faith‑based facility serving Garfield Heights and Southeast Cuyahoga County. You will help provide high‑quality care to patients with stroke, seizures, heart failure, COPD, renal failure and cardiac arrhythmias.

Key responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, patient transfers, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, applying monitoring devices and removing urinary catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
• Nursing students must have BLS prior to hire; recent clinical rotation may substitute required experience.
• Military experience as Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic or Medical Service Technician will be considered.
