Part‑Time Orthodontist – Kids & Adults

About the role

Children's Dental FunZone in Oxnard is seeking a part‑time Orthodontist to deliver fun, effective orthodontic care for both pediatric and adult patients. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to creating beautiful smiles while maintaining a playful atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orthodontic assessments for pediatric patients and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide consultations to parents and guardians, explaining procedures and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Stay up‑to‑date with advances in pediatric orthodontics through continuous education.

Required profile

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with an active California Dental Board license.
• Additional orthodontic training accredited by the American Dental Association and membership in the American Association of Orthodontists.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital X‑ray and 3D imaging technology.
• Experience using orthodontic appliances and hand tools such as periodontal scalers, band pluggers, cutters, and pliers.
• Strong dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for precise appliance placement.
