About the role

Phelps Health Waynesville is seeking a part‑time Occupational Therapist to join its outpatient therapy team. This is a contracted position working 24 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain function, including use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Communicate patient progress to supervisors and team members, and instruct families or nursing staff on follow‑through programs.
  • Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.

Required profile

  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Open to new graduates.

Required skills

  • Occupational Therapy clinical skills.
  • Prosthetic and orthotic device handling.
  • Documentation according to regulatory standards.
