Part‑Time Hospice Physician

About the role

BAYADA Hospice is seeking a compassionate part‑time Hospice Physician to join the Arizona Tucson Hospice team. You will provide expert medical care, comfort, and support to patients and families during end‑of‑life journeys, working closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the physician resource for hospice patients, families, attending physicians, and the interdisciplinary group.
• Review clinical information for admissions and recertifications, complete Certifications of Terminal Illness, and ensure compliance with Medicare hospice requirements.
• Oversee pain and symptom management, review medications and treatments, and align care with patient goals.
• Participate in bi‑weekly interdisciplinary meetings, on‑call rotations, and family education sessions.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree with an unrestricted Arizona medical license.
• Current DEA registration and prescribing authority.
• At least two years of recent, verifiable clinical experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare requirements, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems.
