Parent Support Mentor – HEI Program Coordinator

About the role

The Parent Support Mentor is a grant‑funded position located in Pulaski County, working within the county Women, Infants & Children (WIC) office. The role supports parents through training, data collection, and coordination with community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide training activities, teach health behavior skills, and deliver informal and formal education using the Baby and Me curriculum.
• Coordinate communication among community groups, local health unit supervisors, and program supervisors to ensure timely updates.
• Research and analyze program data, prepare reports, and assist in policy development and budget preparation.
• Maintain accurate records in the RedCap database, manage client correspondence, and travel for outreach as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree and one year of specialized training in business management or related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RedCap data‑entry software.
• Knowledge of family health, child development, and basic statistics.
