Housekeeper – Northwest Arkansas Campus

About the role

The Housekeeper ensures cleanliness and sanitation across office, clinical, and other campus facilities at the Northwest Arkansas campus. This essential position supports a safe, welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors; strip and refinish as needed.
• Clean and restock restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, and supplies.
• Perform specialized cleaning of patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, wheelchairs, and surgical lighting using appropriate disinfectants.
• Collect and transport dirty linens and solid waste; dispose of contaminated materials safely.
• Maintain vertical and horizontal surfaces such as desks, doors, and light switches.
• Report maintenance needs and act as liaison with customers, patients, nurses, researchers, and students.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work independently.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and effective communication.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and maintaining equipment.
