About the role
The incumbent will perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks to provide a clean, safe and pleasant physical environment for the Georgetown University community.
Key responsibilities
- Clean 28,000‑35,000 sq ft of space per eight‑hour shift following a detailed cleaning plan.
- Perform snow and ice removal, water or fire damage cleanup, and support special events.
- Use standard custodial tools, equipment and supplies while observing all safety rules.
- Report to Custodial Supervisors and, as needed, to the Night Operations Manager.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED preferred; one year of custodial experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license from MD, VA, or DC.
- Basic English reading, writing and speaking ability to understand labels and university policies.
- Ability to communicate custodial and maintenance issues clearly to supervisors.
