Housekeeper – Campus Operations

About the role

The Housekeeper ensures cleanliness and sanitation across office, clinical, and other campus facilities at the UAMS Northwest campus. This essential position may require overtime to support departmental needs.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors; strip and refinish as needed.
• Clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain sanitation standards.
• Remove trash, transport solid waste, and handle linen collection.
• Clean specialized areas such as patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, and surgical lighting using appropriate disinfectants.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisors and serve as a liaison to customers, patients, nurses, researchers, and students.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and maintaining equipment.
