Overnight Environmental Service Aide

About the role

The Environmental Service Aide works overnight (11 pm‑7:30 am) to maintain clean, aseptic patient, guest, public, clinical and administrative areas at Ochsner’s Crowley facility. This position supports a safe, compliant environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned areas, ensuring aseptic conditions.
• Maintain the environmental closet and equipment in an orderly, sanitary state.
• Restock café and bar supplies as needed.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follow Joint Commission and CMS regulations for Environment of Care.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and understand English instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 100 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to work a flexible overnight schedule.

Required skills

• Experience operating environmental services equipment (dust mop, wet mop, bucket, wringer, spray bottles, dustpan).
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning supplies.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals, including acidic and alkaline substances.
