About the role

This position provides critical care nursing in the OAGH ICU on an as‑needed (PRN) basis, delivering patient care within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The RN will lead and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Educate patients, families, and staff, and adapt communication to diverse cultural and religious needs.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in Louisiana and current Basic Life Support certification.
No prior experience required; certification in a clinical specialty is a plus.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
