Outbound Appointment Setter (Remote, U.S. Eastern Time)

About the role

Langford Staffing is recruiting experienced Outbound Appointment Setters for a client running high-volume consumer outreach campaigns. You will contact company-provided leads by phone, qualify them and move interested consumers to a sales representative; you do not close the final sale. The position is full-time and remote, with work during U.S. Eastern Time hours and annual target earnings of C$40,000 to C$50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Make high-volume outbound calls using an automatic dialer, gain attention quickly and deliver clear, professional call openings.
• Ask qualification questions, handle objections and rejections, and build interest without aggressive or misleading tactics.
• Move qualified consumers to speak with a sales representative, complete warm and live transfers, and schedule callbacks or appointments when required.
• Follow campaign scripts, qualification requirements and opt-out procedures, and record accurate notes, outcomes and call dispositions.
• Meet hourly and daily performance targets; campaigns may cover health benefits, insurance, telecommunications or other consumer services.

Required profile

• Three or more years of experience in appointment setting, outbound calling, telesales, lead generation, call-centre sales or live transfers.
• Experience qualifying consumers before scheduling an appointment or making a transfer, and working toward transfer, appointment or call targets.
• Clear and professional spoken English, strong listening skills and the ability to stay calm with difficult consumers.
• Full-time availability during U.S. Eastern Time calling hours.
• Home office setup: computer with at least 16 GB RAM, dual monitors (including an external one of at least 22 inches), wired USB noise-cancelling headset, webcam, quiet workspace, wired internet of at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, backup internet and power, and the ability to run a dialer, CRM and campaign system at once.

Required skills

• Experience with an automatic or predictive dialer; experience with Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, Genesys Cloud CX, CallTools or Readymode is preferred.
• Accurate CRM and call-disposition habits.
• Willingness to receive coaching and apply feedback.
