Operations Team Lead

About the role

Cortina is seeking an onsite Operations Team Lead to manage contractor personnel supporting the United States Border Patrol. The role involves supervising up to nine administrative and operations professionals and acting as the primary liaison to the Contracting Officer’s Representative.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractor staff, assign tasks, monitor workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the COR and SPAD leadership on staffing, performance and issue resolution.
• Coordinate personnel reassignments with management and government leadership as operational needs evolve.
• Oversee administrative support services including office logistics, document management, SharePoint administration, reporting and HR support.
• Handle short‑term requests such as presentation development, basic graphic design and meeting facilitation.
• Provide guidance, feedback and performance management to team members while promoting responsive customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Experience with data reporting tools such as Power BI.
