Open Rank Clinical Professor & Director of Didactic Education

About the role

The Department of Medical Sciences at Northeastern University seeks a Director of Didactic Education and Open Rank Clinical Professor for its Physician Assistant Program on the Seattle campus. This dual role leads the didactic curriculum, teaches courses, and supports accreditation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the didactic curriculum, ensuring alignment with program mission and ARC‑PA standards.
• Teach didactic courses, supervise labs, simulation activities, and small‑group sessions, and mentor PA students.
• Chair the Academic Program Curriculum Committee, manage curriculum mapping, and coordinate course schedules.
• Collaborate with clinical education and medical directors to integrate didactic and clinical phases and maintain accreditation compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a PA‑related field (doctorate preferred) and NCCPA certification.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington State.
• Minimum three years of clinical practice and experience in PA education (lecturer, preceptor, or faculty).
• Knowledge of ARC‑PA accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
