Caregiver (CNA/HCA) – Seward Park

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide hands‑on, patient‑centered care in Seattle and surrounding areas. Shifts are available on a per‑diem, part‑time or full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in homes, facilities, or adult family homes, following individualized care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs, weight, and skin integrity; report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Perform delegated tasks like applying creams, taking vitals, and ensuring infection‑control procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA or HCA license for Washington State (training can be provided).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS background check system.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Required skills

• CNA certification
• HCA certification
• Ability to lift 50 lb using proper body mechanics
• Basic knowledge of safety and infection‑control procedures
