About the role
The Office of Legal Counsel at Pratt Institute is seeking a law‑school student to join its team as a part‑time intern. This unpaid position provides hands‑on experience in higher‑education, non‑profit, and arts‑administration law while offering academic credit and professional mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Attend webinars and educational sessions on higher‑education law.
- Review and draft contracts, especially those related to campus facilities and maintenance.
- Assist in‑house counsel with legal research and analysis.
- Perform additional tasks that support learning and professional growth.
Required profile
- Enrolled law‑school student entering the 2L year or beyond.
- Completed introductory coursework in contract law.
- Available to work 8‑16 hours per week during the semester.
- Interest in higher‑education, arts, and non‑profit legal services.
- Commitment to professional conduct in line with Pratt’s values and policies.
