Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will join the MMC Rehab OT team at Tradition Hospital, providing comprehensive OT services to patients of all ages across Port St. Lucie and surrounding facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to address functional limitations, impairments, and disorders.
• Deliver therapeutic techniques such as P/ROM, joint mobilization, massage, myofascial release, and desensitization.
• Utilize thermal and electrical modalities including hot/cold packs, fluidotherapy, ultrasound, TENS, NMES, and biofeedback.
• Fabricate custom splints, select adaptive equipment, and train clients in their use.
• Document patient progress, provide status reports to referring physicians, and communicate with families and interdisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor, Master or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Internship experience and ability to work PRN days with weekend and holiday coverage.

Required skills

• P/ROM and joint mobilization techniques.
• Thermal and electrical physical agent modalities (ultrasound, TENS, NMES, etc.).
• Custom splint fabrication and adaptive device selection.
• Documentation and reporting to physicians and work‑men’s compensation cases.
