Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – OB GYN II

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its OB/GYN team at Tradition Hospital. The APP will support surgical procedures, provide inpatient and outpatient care, and assist with cesarean deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in GYN operating room procedures and cesarean deliveries.
• Conduct postoperative rounds for OB and GYN patients.
• Maintain clinic responsibilities, including patient assessments and follow‑up care.
• Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing and physician staff.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program with a Master’s degree.
• National certification (NP or PA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as required by the work setting.

Required skills

• Surgical assistance in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Patient history taking, physical examination, and diagnostic ordering.
• Prescribing and medication management within state and institutional policies.
• Use of electronic health record systems for documentation and order entry.
