About the role

The OBGYN Clinic at Ochsner Kenner is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports a compassionate, inclusive team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to ensure a quality experience.
• Adapt to rapid changes in unit needs and assist ancillary nursing staff.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Ochsner’s privacy and conduct standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current Louisiana LPN licensure from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• IV therapy credentials (preferred).
• Knowledge of the nursing process and patient assessment.
• Ability to perform basic life support procedures.
