About the role

The Nursing Home Administrator leads all aspects of a 158‑bed skilled nursing facility in Maryland, ensuring high‑quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all facility departments and ensure compliance with CMS, Maryland, and federal regulations.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to deliver exceptional clinical care and positive resident outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve quality, efficiency, resident satisfaction, and financial results.
• Oversee budgets, labor management, census development, and expense control while monitoring key performance indicators.
• Lead the facility through state and federal inspections and maintain survey readiness.
• Foster a positive work environment focused on employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, referral partners, and community organizations.
• Manage admissions, marketing initiatives, and resolve resident, family, and employee concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Current and active Maryland Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting.
• Proven success managing operations with strong regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.
• Thorough knowledge of CMS, Maryland long‑term care regulations, and reimbursement systems.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
