About the role
This position supports patient care on the LDRP Family Birth Place unit at Fairview Hospital. Working under the direction of a registered nurse, you will assist with data collection, treatments, and administrative tasks while maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the health‑care team to ensure smooth unit operations.
- Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions, assist with ambulation and hygiene.
- Document patient activities and maintain accurate records.
- Transport patients, assist with discharge, and handle order transcription.
- Maintain charts, files, inventory, and perform errands efficiently.
- Communicate accurately between nursing staff, physicians, and other departments.
Required profile
- Education: High School diploma or GED; medical assisting course preferred.
- Certifications: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Basic computer skills; prior health‑care or hospital patient‑care experience preferred.
