Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) – Medina Hospital

About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) provides patient‑centered imaging services at Medina Hospital. Working days plus on‑call, you will operate advanced nuclear medicine equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and perform both imaging and non‑imaging studies for in‑ and out‑patients.

Key responsibilities

• Elute 99mTc generators, prepare radiopharmaceutical kits, and perform quality control using aseptic technique.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals, verify patient identity and study orders, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform venipuncture, acquire functional images, and process images through PACS and RIS.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and annual quality assurance on dose calibrators, scintillation counters, thyroid probes, and cameras.
• Document procedures, maintain records, and assist with patient scheduling as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or graduation from an accredited allied‑health program.
• ARRT (R.T(N)) credential or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.

Required skills

• Radiopharmaceutical preparation and hot‑lab operations.
• Aseptic technique and quality‑control procedures.
• Operation of dose calibrators, scintillation well counters, thyroid probes, and gamma cameras.
• Image acquisition, archiving, and transmission via PACS and RIS.
