Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN)

About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides functional imaging, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, and performs non‑imaging studies for in‑ and out‑patients at Marymount Hospital. This PRN position works variable shifts to support the department’s imaging services.

Key responsibilities

• Elute 99mTc generators, prepare radiopharmaceutical kits, and perform quality control using aseptic technique.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals, verify patient and study information, and ensure safety during and after exams.
• Perform venipuncture, operate imaging equipment, and acquire, archive, and transmit images via PACS.
• Conduct daily/weekly quality assurance on dose calibrators, scintillation counters, thyroid probes, and cameras.
• Document procedures, process billing through RIS, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or accredited allied health program.
• ARRT (R.T(N)) or CNMT certification in good standing.
• Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
