Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the role

Phelps Health, a 2,000‑employee hospital in Missouri, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide patient services using nuclear imaging equipment and ensure accurate exam records for radiologist interpretation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate nuclear imaging equipment and perform patient nuclear medicine services according to department policies and regulatory guidance.
• Maintain patient safety, handle confidential materials, and keep patients and families informed about exam status.
• Assist in other medical imaging divisions as trained and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility, punctuality, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
• At least one year of experience as a registered nuclear medicine technologist; multi‑modality experience preferred.
• Current certification (CNMT) with NMTCB or ARRT, or eligibility to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Required skills
