NICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

Join the NICU team at Tradition Hospital, a 10‑bed Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care for premature and medically complex newborns. This PRN night‑shift position runs from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and offers flexible scheduling within a leading health system.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, perform comprehensive newborn assessments, and document patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and physician orders while ensuring patient safety.
• Provide breastfeeding education, assist parents, and support families throughout the care journey.
• Coordinate discharge planning and educate families on post‑hospital care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider status within one year of hire.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) competency.
