New Grad RN Resident - Stepdown

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the Stepdown Unit at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, providing intermediate care between ICU and Med/Surg. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) within a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients under the guidance of a success coach.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preferences and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Document all care activities accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of acute inpatient experience.
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for critical‑care areas.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within first year).
