New Grad RN Resident – Neuro Med/Surg

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join Marymount Hospital’s Neuroscience Medical Unit, providing neuro‑medical/surgical care to patients with stroke, seizures, brain and spine disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. This one‑year accredited residency offers hands‑on training, simulation labs, and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care on day/night rotating shifts, collaborating with a success coach and stroke coordinator.
• Assess patient acuity, prioritize care, and respond to clinical data indicating risk.
• Document care accurately in medical records and seek supervision when needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
