New Grad RN Resident – Med/Surg & Telemetry Unit

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident position supports the Med/Surg & Telemetry unit at Marymount Hospital, providing a comprehensive one‑year nurse residency program. You will develop core nursing skills while caring for diverse medical and surgical patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring and peritoneal dialysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach and tenured preceptors.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
• Establish and revise patient care priorities based on acuity, preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and initiate corrective actions.
• Document all care activities accurately in patients’ medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute direct‑care RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid RN licensure.
