New Grad RN Resident – Med/Surg and Telemetry

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the 6 North/South Med/Surg and Telemetry units at Fairview Hospital, providing comprehensive care for adult patients. This one‑year accredited residency offers hands‑on training, simulation labs, and online modules to develop clinical competence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a success coach.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if hired in a critical care area).
• Registered Nurse licensure.
