National Account Manager I

About the role

HCSC is hiring a National Account Manager I for its Austin ISD Main Office. This is a hybrid position: three days per week onsite and two days per week remote, with onsite support to Austin ISD employees. The role supports account management best practices when acquiring and renewing new business, handles client service issues and maintains ongoing client relationships across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Support account executives in renewing clients within the assigned book of business
• Communicate with brokers and clients, research inquiries and resolve issues with help from internal operational teams
• Prepare reports and analysis, and coordinate meetings including agendas and presentation materials
• Attend client meetings, health fairs and enrollment meetings as required, and gather data and maintain databases
• Research and prepare utilization reports, summarizing and analyzing results
• Respond to prospect questions about benefit information and available benefit options
• Obtain and maintain a Texas Life/Health license; occasional travel to client events may be required

Required profile

• State General Agent Insurance License, or obtain one within 90 days of starting
• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care in a service, sales or marketing role, or 3 years of such experience
• Organizational and project implementation skills, phone customer service and presentation skills
• Verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts
• Willingness and ability for occasional travel

Required skills

• PC proficiency including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a sales system
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree

• Base pay range of $66,400 to $99,600, varying with skills, experience and location
