National Account Manager I - Health Insurance

About the role

HCSC is hiring a National Account Manager I for its Austin Sales Office. The role supports account management personnel in prospecting, acquiring and renewing business, working with brokers and clients. It is hybrid: three days a week in the office and two days a week remote.

Key responsibilities

• Support account executives in renewing clients within their assigned book of business
• Communicate with brokers and clients, and respond to inquiries with updates and resolutions
• Research inquiries received from clients and brokers, coordinating research through internal contacts and operational teams
• Prepare reports and analyses, including utilization reports, and summarize results
• Coordinate meetings, including agendas and presentation materials, and attend client meetings, health fairs and enrollment meetings as required
• Gather data and create and/or maintain databases
• Answer questions from prospects about benefit information and available benefit options
• Obtain and maintain a Texas Life/Health license; occasional travel to client meetings and events may be required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care in a service, sales or marketing role, or 3 years of such experience
• State General Agent insurance license, or must obtain one within 90 days of starting
• Organizational and project implementation skills, phone customer service and presentation skills
• Willingness and ability for occasional travel

Required skills

• Verbal and written communication with internal and external contacts
• PC proficiency including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a sales system

What we offer

• Base pay range of $66,400 to $99,600, varying with skills, experience and location
