Commercial Project Manager

About the role

Stadler US Inc. is looking for a Commercial Project Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will direct interdepartmental and external team members so that all functional departments stay on track with project requirements, budget, deadlines, schedules and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with project team members to identify risks and opportunities and resolve issues
• Submit project deliverables that meet contract requirements and quality standards
• Prepare project status reports by gathering, analysing and summarising information
• Develop strategies to monitor and control scope, schedule, budget and risks
• Establish and run effective project communication plans
• Facilitate change requests so all parties know the impact on schedule and budget
• Oversee monthly project reports, customer progress reports, change proposals and management presentations
• Coordinate user manuals, training materials and other documents for client handover
• Identify new customer opportunities, obtain customer acceptance of deliverables and manage customer satisfaction during transition
• Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field; master's degree a plus
• 7+ years of progressive experience with formal project management methodologies
• Rail, aerospace or heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred
• 5+ years leading groups in a matrixed organisation
• Budget management experience required
• PMP certification a plus

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid organisation skills, attention to detail, multitasking, communication and persuasion
