Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager establishes relationships with current and target customers in their area, working with the Strategic Accounts team on core and key clients. The role reports to the VP, Business Development, and aims to provide consistent touch points for customers across all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational leadership to develop sales strategies that meet company goals.
• Implement strategic sales and marketing plans within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Partner with operations to develop quotes and proposals for clients.
• Contact prospective clients and owners regularly, presenting the company's line of business, experience and capabilities.
• Increase the value of services for current customers while attracting new ones.
• Gather project scope details from client representatives and engineers.
• Represent Apache at industry-recognized organizations, conferences and events, and conduct business professionally and ethically.
• Manage and assist in collecting accounts receivable for assigned customers.
• Use the CRM tool to plan and track opportunities, and assist management in project contract negotiations.
• Research new product development, industry standards and processes to support client presentations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in operational, commercial, business development and/or finance roles within industrial services, professional services or a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering or another industry-related field preferred.
• Established industry network and regular participation or leadership in industry-recognized organizations.
• Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships and influencing others positively.
