Personal Training Assessment & Sales Specialist

About the role

Equinox is hiring a Personal Training Assessment & Sales Specialist (Performance Advisor) for its Union Street club in San Francisco. The advisor welcomes new members, runs personalized assessments and consults on the full range of club offerings, and guides members toward the right coach and services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct personalized welcome consultations with new members and run high-quality Equifit assessments, explaining how club offerings can support their goals.
• Present Personal Training as the foundational investment, then introduce Pilates, Spa and recovery services, Group Fitness and specialty classes.
• Hand off new clients to the best-matched coach based on training goals, scheduling, coaching style and program specialization, working with the Personal Training Manager on lead flow and conversion.
• Manage member pipelines through email outreach, follow-ups and fitness-floor interactions, and re-engage inactive members.
• Take part in club events, sales huddles and team meetings, and collaborate with Membership Advisors, coaches and other departments.
• Maintain assessment rooms and consultation spaces to premium standards.

Required profile

• Nationally recognized personal training certification.
• Degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management, Kinesiology or a related field preferred.
• Experience in fitness assessments, consultative sales or client onboarding.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Passion for fitness and human performance, with a polished, professional presence suitable for a luxury environment.
