MRI Technologist (PRN) – Medina Hospital

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks an MRI Technologist on a PRN (as‑needed) basis at Medina Hospital. You will perform routine MRI examinations for patients of all ages, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout the imaging process.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient questionnaires, charts, and requisitions to identify contraindications for MRI.
• Perform MRI procedures according to protocol and conduct daily quality assurance.
• Educate patients about the MRI process, equipment, and what to expect.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during and after scans.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure high equipment uptime.
• Process billing through RIS and mentor new hires or radiology students.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT, ARMRIT, or CNMT in good standing.
• Certification in MRI (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) required within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathology.

Required skills

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging operation and protocol adherence.
• Use of RIS for billing and documentation.
• Equipment troubleshooting and quality assurance.
• Patient education and safety monitoring.
• Proficiency with X‑ray equipment (preferred).
