Mental Health Tech / Associate (Nights)

About the role

The Mental Health Tech / Associate provides delegated nursing care to adult, geriatric, and medical psychiatric patients during night shifts. This role supports the treatment team by ensuring patients' physical needs are met and participating in therapeutic activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as oral care, meals, and hygiene.
• Participate in therapeutic milieu activities under clinical staff direction.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and comply with JCAHO patient safety goals.
• Adapt communication and behavior to respect patient privacy and preferences.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• No prior experience required.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider (BLS) certification.
• Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within the first month.
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
